Terms of use

Using LiveCQ

By using LiveCQ (the website, Android app or browser add-ons) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.

What LiveCQ does

LiveCQ does not host videos. It plays videos from links you or your room provide, from sites such as YouTube, Vimeo, the Internet Archive and Suno, keeps everyone's playback in sync and carries the room's chat. Those videos belong to their owners and those sites' own terms apply to them.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the links you add and the messages you send. Do not use LiveCQ to:

Rooms and hosts

The host controls a room: what plays, whether guests can pause, whether chat is muted, and who stays. Hosts can remove people. Anything you say in a room can be seen, and copied, by everyone in it. Public rooms are listed for anyone to join, so choose room titles and names accordingly.

Tips

LiveCQ is free. If you choose to support it with a tip, that is a voluntary gift: it doesn't buy any features, priority or service, and it isn't refundable, except where the payment provider or the law says otherwise.

What we can do

We may remove a public room from the list, block links or sites (for example after a copyright notice), limit how much a person can use the service, or change or stop any part of LiveCQ at any time, without notice.

No warranty

LiveCQ is provided free, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will always work, stay in sync, or that any video will play.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, LiveCQ and the people who run it are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for content added by users or played from other sites. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new date, and using LiveCQ after that means you accept it.
